Title: Codes for Node-Constrained Relaying

ABSTRACT

Relay channel models for wired networks with node constraints are developed and compared to half-duplex wireless models. We show how data compression can improve rates for the wired channels and compute the capacity. However, in attempting to extend the theory to several relays, a seemingly more difficult distributed coding problem with interference appears. We suggest some coding schemes for this problem.
